Professor 황루시 of the Korean Department is an expert on all things Dano. She has spent years researching and collecting historical materials and documenting Korean folk traditions. Prof. Hwang was nice enough to agree to an interview on a hot and muggy afternoon of June 20. In the 10-minute interview, she talks about the history of Dano and the special meaning it has, especially for the residents of Gangneung City.
