방금지난, 어제 13 일 부터 오는 금요일 15 일 까지 학교축제가 있습니다.
오늘 축제를 가서 본 소감은 작년보다 훨씬 볼거리, 먹거리, 즐길거리가 생겼습니다.

 어느 한 고등학생이 학교 축제 때 애인을 위해 불러준 노래 이벤트 입니다. 노래는 정말 엄청 잘부르지만 이걸 배우라는게 아니라 저 용기를 배워보시기 바랍니다!! 용감한 자만이 미인을 얻는단 말이 있지 않습니까~? 쏠로들은 억장이 욱씬 욱씬!! ㅋㅋ ^^

                    None but the brave deserve the fair!!

The week-long Dano Festival is not just for watching performances. There are many activities visitors can participate in and experience firsthand, such as riding the giant swing or getting your hair washed with special water. Dano would be meaningless without these folk traditions. And, of course, wherever you go, there's the ceaseless ear-popping kkangari. (Music from 관노가면극.)

In addition to the traditional performances, the market is a big part of Dano Festival (단오제). There are a lot of eateries and shops that line the local river. There are even amusement rides and a small circus tent. It's loud, crowded and carnivalesque. (The cabaret music in the background and the encore are performed by Gwangwon Police College.)

 음력으로 5월 5일. 창포에 머리 감고 그네를 탔던 단오가 양력 6월 19일로 왔다. 이에 맞춰 유네스코가 지정한 우리나라 문화 유산인 "단오제" 역시 우리 학교가 있는 도시 강릉에서 열린다. 필자는 작년 이맘때쯤 계절학기를 열심히 듣고 있어서 가려고 했었는데 뭐가 잘못 됐는지 가진 못했지만 맛있는 것도 많이 들어서고 팔도 욕 경연대회등 재미있는 것, 볼만한 것들이 많이 들어선다고 한다. 지금 학교가 방학중이라 대부분 원래의 집으로 돌아갔을텐데, 계절학기 듣는 친구들도 볼겸 세계적인 축제를 볼겸해서 보는것도 괜찮을 것같다. 매년 정겨운 남대천 섭다리에서 열리는 단오제는 강릉시 대부분의 유치원,초.중학교는 단오제 관람을 위해 쉰다고 한다. 그정도로 이 축제가 크고 교육에도 필요하다는걸 느낀다. 여기 단오제의 유래 및 특성과 축제행사 종목입니다.

Waiting and preparing for school festival were excited for the freshmen. Unfortunately, it was pouring all day in the first day. Most of students got wet and they walked in the mud. The performance of singer was cancelled, so everyone felt blue. However, nobody couldn't touch their passion to celebrate the festival. There were some small performances  from our school students which made us laugh under the umbrella. The second day, the weather was great and the ground was full of students. Especially, the fireworks at night were just beautiful. And the last day, everyone was happy to see the singer WheeSung(휘성). As predicted, no matter how much the grumpy weather disturbs the performance, I should say most of students enjoyed the final day.  Most of freshmen participate festival as waitresses or May queen and so on. It might be a great experience and rememberance to them during the college life. However, there were too few opportunities to participate. For better fun for the festival, I think the school should have more events that everyone can participate. For the freshmen, we had wonderful days, but we look forward to celebrating better festival in next year!!
